N-VA in Blankenberge had submitted candidates for the second, fourth and fifth aldermen, Vooruit only for the fifth alderman. “As a result, we could only form a reflective council if Vooruit were allowed to supply the 5th and N-VA the 2nd and 4th Aldermen. As a result, Mitch De Geest was not voted second alderman for Team Blankenberge, but Philip Konings was voted third alderman.”
