ARD explains why “Inas Nacht” with Flake is not shown

“Ina’s Night” will do without Flake. The broadcaster told ROLLING STONE.

The “Ina’s Night” sequence, in which Flake is invited as a guest, will not be broadcast. The episode of the late-night show was recorded in May of this year, and singer Birdy and Sven Regener, singer of Element of Crime, were also guests at Müller.

When asked about a broadcast date for the Flake show, the German “ROLLING STONE” received this statement: “Due to the current discussions about Till Lindemann and the band Rammstein, the NDR editors of “Inas Nacht” decided to broadcast “Inas Nacht” -Not planning a conversation with Rammstein musician Christian “Flake” Lorenz for the current season. When the conversation was recorded, the current allegations were not yet public knowledge – so Christian “Flake” Lorenz could not be questioned or comment on them. The current broadcast of an interview in which Christian “Flake” Lorenz is not asked about the Rammstein debate does not seem appropriate to the editors at the moment and would arouse false expectations among viewers. The “Inas Nacht” talk with musician Sven Regener and the musical performances by Element of Crime and British musician Birdy will be shown on August 24th and 26th (repeat) in the first.”

Rammstein currently:

Previously, Flake’s monthly radio column was paused on Radioeins. According to the broadcaster, the Rammstein keyboardist and Radioeins decided to take a break together. The reason for this is likely to be the Rammstein scandal, in the course of which singer Till Lindemann is accused of abusive behavior towards fans, and against which the Berlin public prosecutor is now also investigating.

The new season of “Inas Nacht” starts on July 20th. Some guests of the upcoming programs are listed on Müller’s homepage. Among them are Oliver Welke, Lars Klingbeil, Almuth Schult, Michael Mittermeier, Reinhold Messner, Carolin Kebekus, Klaas Heufer-Umlauf, Anneke Kim Sarnau, Sven Regener, Stefanie Kloß and Yael Adler. Flake, who was a guest with Sven Regener, is not included in this list.

About “Ina’s Night”

“Ina’s Night” has been produced by NDR in Hamburg since 2007 and is named after presenter Ina Müller. Home is the pub “Zum Schellfischposten” in Altona; For reinforcement, Müller also has a shanty choir behind him, which plays like a jingle from time to time during the show. Müller has two to three guests per episode, with whom she philosophizes at the counter and sings a little song – questions from the audience are also allowed.
