Aran Bade does not find it very surprising that the TV project Andy van der Meijde and Gordon got on the rocks. “That very banal and Schunnige, goes beyond a border at some point.”
For a moment it seemed that Andy van der Meijde and Gordon would enter into a long -term collaboration. After Goor was a guest in the YouTube series at Andy in the car, we also saw the two as alternative commentators of the Eurovision Song Contest. Their announced reality series on SBS 6 has now been canceled by John de Mol himself.
Pilot recording
Bridget Maasland brings it up to the desk of RTL Boulevard. “Where do you think, Aran, that this project got stuck on?”
Colleague Aran Bade on that: “Well, that is the optimism of Gordon and the effect that in the end is just not good, because in the end they have seen something at Talpa, a pilot recording. I just think they are trying to imitate Geer & Goor. That is of course the whole set -up when you see them in the car.”
Banal and schunnig
Perhaps it was just too ordinary, says Aran. “If you then start thinking a format that you are going to help people, but you just saw it a bit in the video: that very banal and schunnige, of course goes beyond a border at some point.”
Bridget: “That was at the Songfestival, yes.”
Aran: “That was at the Songfestival. I don’t think that is more funny and the problem is of course that they are going to compare very much with Gerard and Gordon, and you will never get that again. That is really a different level.”
Solo success
Bridget thinks that at Andy in the car appealed to a different target group than the TV target group. “That what you mention in that car was also on YouTube and not on television. A television program is really different. Other people also look at it than you are watched on YouTube.”
Aran: “The funny thing is: the last success of Gordon on TV, for that you really have to get married back to Gordon and hotter than my daughter. After that he went to SBS and did not succeed anymore. He has something, but he really needs a declarant.”
Hott
Bridget agrees. “That’s it, I think. Only I think it’s a bit harder to get off the ground and he really comes on when he has an audience.”
Hotter did he also do solo? “Yes, but he also had an audience there. He had such a woman next to him and he laughed with him, and he really needs that. I also think we are mistaken: even though they are half a million streams, the people watching on YouTube, don’t necessarily go to television.”
Nothing with media
The media ambitions of Gordon are striking, because at the time he still shouted in that andy car program: “That media world, I am actually quite done with that.”
Aran about the failure of Andy & Gordon as a TV duo: “It is also not surprising that a program is being tried and destroyed. Now we only hear this, because Gordon itself always tells:” I’m going to do this and do that. ” He doesn’t want to do anything with media anymore, but in the meantime he all has ideas. “
Bridget: “Nice and enthusiastic, yes.”
Goor responds
Gordon sticks to a written response. He says: “I am going to do things with Andy on YouTube and I am also working on other plans for another new program, but I can’t say anything about it yet.”
Bridget Vilein: “But that’s nothing with the media. Hahaha.”
