Marc Kuipers becomes National Coordinator of Terrorism and Security (NCTV) at the Ministry of Justice and Security. The Council of Ministers has agreed to the nomination on the proposal of Minister Uitermark of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. The appointment starts on January 1, 2026.
Mr. MJ (Marc) Kuipers has been a consul general in Osaka since 2021, Japan for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Before that he was inspector general at the SZW Inspectorate, now the Dutch Labor Inspectorate. Earlier he was a deputy director-general at the General Intelligence and Security Service (AIVD), and he worked in various management positions, including as director of Justis, at the Ministry of Justice. Marc Kuipers studied Dutch law at Utrecht University.
This appointment was made through the procedure for the top management group of the General Administrative Service.
