Apple shares: iPhone 15 Pro could run hot due to several triggers

According to Apple, reports of overheating devices on the new iPhone 15 Pro are due to software errors that should be fixed soon.

On the one hand, there is a problem in the new operating system iOS 17 was the trigger for some users; on the other hand, a few apps like Instagram and Uber made the phones warmer than usual. Instagram fixed the problem with an update at the end of September, Apple told the financial service Bloomberg.

The reports of iPhones heating up had sparked speculation that the new titanium housing or the newly developed chip could have contributed to this. Apple, however, emphasized that the titanium frame ensures better heat dissipation – and that the processor should not be slowed down during software corrections.

At the same time, the company pointed out that newly set-up iPhones might generally feel warmer at first because the electronics were working harder in the background./so/DP/men
