The ANWR Schuh GmbH retail association has filled a key position. On Monday, the company, which is part of the ANWR Group, announced the appointment of Arne Petersen as Head of Retail.
In his new role, Petersen will now take over, according to a statement, “the technical and personnel management of the trading business unit, the further development and coaching of the team as well as the management of advice and support for the dealers of ANWR Schuh GmbH”.
According to his new employer, Petersen brings “over 27 years of sales and leadership experience in the FMCG and sporting goods industries.” Among other things, he worked in various positions for the sporting goods group Adidas AG and has “extensive experience in working with association groups and their affiliated retailers”.
ANWR Schuh managing director Astrid Heinze welcomed the new addition. “We are very pleased to have found a competent and experienced contact for our dealers in Arne Petersen, who also has years of experience with associations,” she explained in a statement. “He knows the challenges of retail and, with his many years of expertise and strategic perspective, will work with our retailers, teams and partners to develop solutions that will sustainably strengthen the specialist shoe retail sector.”
