In her recent Instagram update, Jani Sievinen tells what it has been like to live in a different country with her children.

Former competitive swimmer Jani Sievinen published on Sunday on his Instagram account picture from years ago. In the photo, Sievinen is sitting by the ship’s window with his two daughters in his arms.
– The last picture before I gave the girls abroad. I knew they wouldn’t be moving back home for the next ten years. I had to close my eyes, take a few deep breaths and concentrate, Sievinen writes in his publication.
– The first years were spent hoping, waiting, planning for the future. At some point, the thoughts became realistic. Within ten years I learned and understood that they never move back except temporarily. And it’s not worth it either. It’s been 11 years now. When the mind is free, dares to write, Sievinen’s writing ends.

Sievinen has a total of five children. Sons were born from the first union Alexander and Aaron. Mari Samuelsen’s with Sievinen had three daughters, Felicia, Millan and Alma.
After Sievinen and Samuelsen’s divorce, the daughters moved to Norway, where Samuelsen is from.
In July, Sievinen published a photo on her Instagram account in which she poses with all five of her children.
– A few times a year all the children together. A little moment in the evening. A big moment in the memories, Sievinen wrote in his publication at the time.
