The universe of social networks was shaken this Tuesday by an unexpected intervention by Antonela Roccuzzo. The businesswoman from Rosario, known worldwide for maintaining a reserved profile in the face of media rumors, decided to put a stop to speculation about her husband’s physical appearance, Lionel Messi.
The controversy began with a video posted by Celeste Nardanonedentist and specialist in facial harmonization with more than 24 years of experience, who presents her office in Palermo. With the aim of analyzing the traits of the ten of the Argentine National Team, the content creator uploaded a clip comparing images from different stages of the footballer’s life under a striking premise: “Did you think that the National Team players did not have facial touch-ups? Or that facial harmonization was only for women? Here I show you what Lionel Messi did to his face”.
During the video, Nardanone listed the aesthetic procedures that the albiceleste captain had supposedly undergone: a rhinoplasty, occasional Botox applications, cheekbone filling, ear correction, a blepharoplasty, dental veneers and chin filler with hyaluronic acid. As the hours passed, the video began to go massively viral, accumulating thousands of views. However, Antonela herself took center stage when she unexpectedly appeared in the comments section of the post. Far from ignoring the situation, he appealed to irony and dismantled the specialist’s hypothesis with a forceful reply: “You didn’t get one! He never had surgery. Hahaha and the thing about teeth is called invisalign”he wrote, accompanying his words with laughing emojis.
The author of the video chose to “like” Roccuzzo’s comment without escalating the intersection, although she did leave a response where she stressed that the video was prepared “with absolute seriousness and respect” and that its intention was to show that facial aesthetic treatments “they can help many people”. Roccuzzo’s blunt defense was soon replicated on multiple platforms, sparking a wave of reactions among the couple’s fans.
