Vocalist Angie Stone has died at the age of 63.
Stone spokesman Deborah R. Champagne tells Tmzto the news site that a musician died on Saturday morning in a car accident in Montgomery, Alabama. So far, no more is known about the details of the situation.
Champagne says he spoke to Stone the previous night. According to the spokesman, the situation has shocked the artist’s relatives and family members. Stone will miss, among other things, his two children Michael and Diamond as well as two grandchildren.

Born in Columbia, Stone became known in The Sequence. The band released three albums between 1979 and 1985. The band’s most famous hits include Funk you up.
Stone moved to a solo career in the late 1990s. One of his most famous songs is Wish i didn’t miss you. Stone hits also include, among other things, No more rain and Brotha.
Stone has also been seen in numerous films such as The Hot Chick and Ride Along as well as in Broadway musical Chicago.
Billboard Stone was awarded the Soul Music Icon Award at the Black Music Honors gala in 2021.
