Yusuf/Cat Stevens officially canceled his planned North America bay tour. The reason is persistent delays in the visa.

Official statement by Yusuf

Already at the beginning of the month, the singer-songwriter fans had warned that the concert series-as an accompaniment to his memoirs “Cat on the Road to Findout”-was in serious danger. The start was originally scheduled for October 2 in Philadelphia, with other stations in metropolises such as New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.

“We were waiting for the visa permits for months and held out for as long as possible,” said Yusuf in a message. “But now the necessary production logistics for my show can no longer be arranged in time. I am really disappointed – not least for my fans who bought tickets and planned trips.”

He added that the appointments in North America would continue to be possible if the visas were approved at a later date. However, this could still take time because there are other international tours. “Hopefully the fans can jump on the Peace Train route at some point,” said Yusuf. However, the delays do not affect the book: “The obvious advantage is – books do not need visas!”

Publication of “Cat on the Road to Findout”

The memoirs were released in Great Britain on September 18 and followed in North America on October 7th. Under the title “Cat on the Road to Findout-An Evening of Tales, Tunes, and Other Mysteries”, the tour would have included live appearances with its most famous songs in addition to discussions about the book.
