Andy Murray donates prize money to Ukrainian children until the end of the year | Tennis

Murray made this known on his Twitter. “It is vital that education continues, so UNICEF is working to provide access to education for displaced children, and support the rehabilitation of damaged schools, along with replacement materials and furniture,” Murray wrote. “I will donate my earnings from my prize money for the rest of the year.”

Murray also appeals to his compatriots to donate money for the children in need. “Children in Ukraine need peace – now,” he concludes. Murray is not the only athlete to take action for the violence-stricken Ukraine. In recent days, many athletes have supported the Eastern European country.

Murray has been a UNICEF ambassador since 2016. Two years before that, he had already started supporting the charity. Six years ago, he raised more than £300,000 in a tournament organized for Unicef.
