André Hazes Jr. revealed miscarriage ‘because I am not an accountant’

André Hazes Jr. surprised quite a few people by revealing that Monique Westenberg had a miscarriage a few years ago. Why did he do that? “I’m not an accountant.”

It’s no secret that André Hazes Jr. loves attention, but how far can you go? Two weeks ago he revealed in the Casa di Beau program of presenter Beau van Erven Dorens that his on-again, off-again sweetheart Monique Westenberg had a miscarriage a few years ago. That has never come out before.

No accountant

It is unclear why André throws this out on his own initiative and it is not clear whether he had agreed this with Monique in advance, but that is not likely. After all, it does not benefit her to suddenly come up with this after years. “Why are you doing it?!” Frank Dane asks him on Radio 538.

André gives the following answer: “No, guys, listen: be honest. You can never really get it right, can you? If I don’t answer and act very panicky about it, then it’s strange that you don’t talk about it. I’m always an open book and yes, I’m not an accountant, I’m not boring, so things are always happening with us. Don’t know.”

‘It’s nice to be honest’

So if you’re not an accountant, you should automatically make these kinds of private revelations about your loved one? “I just like to be honest or something, you know?”

Oh yes, that became apparent when André shouted everywhere that he had an ’emotional burnout’. What’s the deal with that? Is there any juice left? “There actually isn’t much anymore, but of course there was a lot. There will come a day when it will all be over. Then nothing is new anymore, then you can close it.”

Interviews everywhere

Now that André is on holiday on Bonaire, we have a bit of peace again. In recent weeks he couldn’t keep away from the TV. If this is intended to fill Ahoy, then it has no chance, says Evert Santegoeds. He agrees Strictly Private: “If De Bevers succeeds for two evenings and you succeed for half, then there is something very wrong with your career.”

The Private Boss continues: “Then you can suddenly start an offensive and start giving interviews everywhere, because that’s what he does, but then I think: you can’t fill that room anymore. People just don’t feel like it at the moment. But yes, he himself had a plausible reason why it was not full.”

Hard work

According to André, this is because of his new music, but he wants to prove through hard work that those records are really good. “I’ve been hearing for a year now that he’s coming back, but there hasn’t been a hit yet. That boy just has a really big problem. It used to be called drink and drugs and now I think it’s a lack of inspiration.”

According to him, André’s new music will never catch on. “You can’t start over if you’re Hazes. You take your entire burden and your entire past with you. If only you could start over and everyone would forget what a mess you’ve made over the past few years. That’s not possible, is it?”
