An elderly man died tonight in a fire at his home, a ground floor of a building located at calle de las Moreras number 103, in the Madrid municipality of Aranjuez. A spokesman for Emergencies of the Community of Madrid has reported that the fire started, for reasons investigated by the National Police, around 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the room, which was completely burned, although the fire did not reach the other rooms of the house, which was affected by the smoke, as was the building.

Firefighters from the Community of Madrid together with the Local Police of Aranjuez achieved rescue the victim accessing through a window to which they previously removed the grille and took it out in cardiorespiratory arrest. The two fire departments of the Community of Madrid managed to extinguish the fire and carried out ventilation tasks in the building affected by the smoke.
