Pleasant ambience

Earlier in the day, the police warned of crowds in the capital because of the Pride. However, the atmosphere has been “cozy and festive,” according to a spokeswoman for the municipality. As far as is known, there have been no incidents. There are no exact numbers of the number of visitors in the city center, but the crowds are “manageable.”

Because of the crowds, the Skinny Bridge was closed and people were urged to avoid De 9 Straatjes. It was also very busy at the Homomonument and on the Vijzelgracht and in the Vijzelstraat.
