In a report on the reception of asylum seekers in Belgium, Amnesty International says that the “persistent ignoring” of the Belgian government to respect the rights of asylum seekers “involves untold human suffering”. The human rights organization spoke between 2021 and 2025 with countless asylum seekers who stayed on the street. They all outline a story full of suffering and broken dreams.
