The 2023-2024 amateur football season will kick off in August. The first matches are scheduled for mid-August.
The KNVB announced this on Thursday.
The new football year is kicked off with the qualifying rounds for the battle for the TOTO KNVB Cup. The first round is on the weekend of 12 and 13 August, the second round on Tuesday 15, Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 August.
The second and third divisions will start in the weekend of August 19 and 20, 2023. The fourth division will start a weekend later, on August 26 and 27, 2023. On that weekend, the top divisions in youth football will compete for the Youth Cup.
Category A
The cup competitions in category A start on the weekend of 2 and 3 September. In the same weekend, the national youth competitions O13 to O19 and the phases football for all age groups.
The regular competitions of category A, including the top class women and the other men’s, women’s and youth competitions, will start on September 23 and 24.
