Already 10,000 evacuations due to ‘monstrous’ forest fire in France

The forest fire that broke out on Tuesday in the French department of Gironde, south of Bordeaux, has already set more than 6,200 hectares in flames. On Wednesday evening, the fire continued to spread, including to the neighboring department of Landes, despite maximum efforts by the fire brigade. About 10,000 people have had to leave their homes as a precaution.
