In 2021, 9.5 percent of Belgians fell victim to psychological violence outside the family. Within the family and via the internet, this was 2.9 and 4.2 percent respectively. This is evident today from the results of the Security Monitor 2021, a large-scale population survey by the federal police in collaboration with the local police, the Federal Public Service Home Affairs and local authorities.
