Almost all flights canceled at Cologne-Bonn Airport due to strike by security personnel | Abroad

At Düsseldorf airport, about a third of departing and incoming flights would be canceled.

The announced strike affects eleven airports in Germany, including Frankfurt, the largest in the country. According to the German Airports Association (ADV), more than 1,100 flights could be canceled or delayed, affecting around 200,000 passengers. Brussels Airlines has to cancel eight flights from Germany.

With the action, the Verdi union is asking for more wages for the approximately 25,000 security people at German airports.
