all information about the presale 2024

The indoor festival ROLLING STONE Beach 2023 in the Weissenhäuser Strand holiday and leisure park came to a successful end on Sunday night and was able to delight around 3,500 fans of the different facets of indie rock.

A diverse musical live selection was offered on four festival stages: In addition to the Friday headliners and US rock veterans Dinosaur Jr. and the independent musicians The Notwist 26 other bands and solo artists performed on the Saturday headliner slot, including the two favorites of the ROLLING STONE Beach community, Tocotronic and Thees Uhlmann. The nerves with their punky, loud courage for hopelessness, soul grandee Lee Fieldswho put all emotion in his voice, as well Andy Fraso And The UN with energetic blues rock symbolize the breadth of the musical spectrum that the festival had to offer. Also the highly acclaimed American jam band Goose and the NDW trailblazers Fpale colored testified to the exciting mix of young and mature talent. The Lathums and Charlotte brandi came up with indie pop. Brown-eyed soul in the most modern guise Thee Sacred Souls and alternative rock from Bob Mould as well as numerous other international and national acts made the Weissenhäuser Strand a melting pot of the most diverse varieties of the indie genre.

ROLLING STONE editor-in-chief Sebastian Zabel said: “The start of the festival could hardly have been better: Die Nerv, one of the best new German bands, opened the festival – violently and furiously. In general, the program was convincing with its diversity – where else does a classic, seasoned soul singer appear after a young, hard rock band? It’s the mixture that counts.”

The beach concert was particularly emotional Tom Liwa and at the living room concert Jerry Legerwhich were the icing on the cake for the winners of the corresponding raffle. Birgit Fuss and Jens Balzer took the audience on music and pop cultural journeys through time during their readings.

The ROLLING STONE talk session with Stephan Thanscheidt, CEO and chief booker of organizer FKP Scorpio, and the music magazine’s editorial team elicited both current facts and anecdotes from the world of the music business from the participants. Pop quizzes, record fairs, screen printing stands and after-show parties were further parts of the music-themed supporting program.

Stephan Thanscheidt sums it up: “The ROLLING STONE Beach is characterized by its casual, family atmosphere, which is evident in all relationships between us as organizers, the fans and our musical acts. We always enjoy coming to Weissenhäuser Strand and are very happy that our audience obviously sees it the same way year after year. We were able to experience countless unforgettable moments on and off the stages in the best atmosphere and are already looking forward to 2024!”
