In the open letter, the under -financing of the judiciary is again charged. Too high workload, too few staff, a lack of reception places in youth care, moldy buildings that are collapsing and the physical safety of the magistrates themselves that are being compromised: the problems have been known for decades, but apart from a number of “ad hoc measures”, there is too little concrete action taken during the past legislatures.
“Today, more than ever, we are calling for a connection between words and actions,” the attorneers write. “Making empty promises only feeds the frustrations and incomprehension. It puts us valuable together model.”
