Skir racing driver Alexis Pinturault suffered a break in the right knee in his fall in Kitzbühel and will no longer come back to the World Cup this winter.
Investigations in France showed a fracture of the shin -oned plateaus and a meniscus injury. According to the association, the 33-year-old has to suspend around six weeks before he can start rehabilitation measures in March. The season ends in the last week of March with the World Cup final in Sun Valley in the USA.

Pinturault had fallen on the streak last Friday at the Super-G and had to be recovered from the route with the helicopter. His wife Romanes and the little daughter waited in vain for the husband and dad. Pinturault, who won 34 World Cup races, three World Cup titles and three Olympic medals in his career, had only returned in autumn after a long break due to a cruciate ligament tear.
