After his end in Wimbledon, Alexander Zverev revealed his mental problems. Apparently his brother really didn’t really know about them.

Mischa Zverev is surprised by the statements of his brother Alexander Zverev regarding his struck mental health. “Nothing great has indicated that I will find out a lot of things from you too,” said the former professional on Tuesday evening as a TV expert at Prime Video. “One or two days after an event you come together again, and then you talk about the topic.

Germany’s tennis-ace Alexander Zverev had just surprisingly failed at Arthur Rindertknech at the Grand Slam tournament in Wimbledon in the first round. Afterwards the 28-year-old explained: “I’ve never felt so empty. I lack the fun of everything I do.” Something in it has to change. “Something that is not necessarily on the tennis court.” He also brought the possible use of therapy into play.

In Wimbledon, Alexander Zverev had remained loyal to his familiar surroundings. As usual, he trained there under the guidance of his father. Mischa Zverev was also on site and lived with him together in a house.

His brother said he had already spoken to Alexander Zverev after the lost game. It was about different things. “We talked about things that are fun and that we can do in the next few weeks. But that seemed to be positive,” he emphasized. He takes Alexander Zverev’s statements very seriously. “I try to listen and then, if I can, to help,” says Mischa Zverev.

Meanwhile, Alexander Zverev’s girlfriend Sophia Thomalla was not there in London, which was no exception. She had accompanied her partner at the preparation tournament in Halle. Because of her work as a TV presenter and advertising face, Thomalla missed nice earlier Grand Slam appearances by Alexander Zverev.

Daughter Mayla had recently accompanied him at the tournaments in Germany. She was the person who makes him happiest in life, explained the tennis star. “But she is four. Usually it has to be the other way around, I have to give your energy, I have to make her happy and not the other way around,” he said critically. “It can’t be.”
