Presidential candidate by Alexander Stubb, 55, (total) family arrived at the election supervisors to be excited about the final voting result. Stubb organizes his election supervisor in Little Finland in Helsinki, where Iltalehti is on site to monitor the progress of the election night.

The presidential candidate’s spouse is there Suzanne Innes-Stubb54, and their two grown children Oliver20, and Emily, 23. Daughter Emilie graduated from a London university in the fall of 2023, and the family celebrated a little before Oliver’s senior year. Oliver is currently doing military service.

Stubb’s children have grown up in a multilingual and multicultural environment. The family has lived in Belgium, for example, but today the family has settled in Espoo’s Westend. Stubb has said, among other things, in his autobiographical work Alex, that the common language of the family is Swedish.

Also, Suzanne has not been seen much in public before the presidential election campaign. He took the stage at the coalition’s extraordinary party meeting in Espoo’s Dipoli on October 28, and gave a supporting speech in Finnish and partly in Swedish.

On the day of the first round of elections, Suzanne told Iltalehti what kind of president’s spouse she would be.

– I believe that there are suitable forms for my role in which I can serve Finland and Finns, Suzanne said.

Suzanne and Alexander got married in 1998. The couple met at the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium. Suzanne graduated from that university in 1995. Suzanne currently works as a lawyer.
