The local resident noticed the duo on the night from Friday to Saturday, in Luingnestraat. When they saw that they had been caught, the men tried to hide and then fled in a car with French license plates. Police patrols were able to quickly intercept them.
The suspects, two Romanians of no fixed abode, were arrested by the investigating judge. One of them is known to the French police. It is being investigated whether they are also involved in burglary attempts in Rollegem earlier this week.
