In the best scenario, the earth will warm up by 2.3 degrees: new climate plans will not make much difference

The new climate plans will raise temperatures by 2.3 degrees Celsius by the end of the century in the best scenario. This is evident from the latest Emissions Gap Report from the UN environment agency UNEP. That is a slight improvement compared to last year, but still far from sufficient to achieve the climate goals of the Paris Agreement.
