Surgical Background and Context
This measure is part of the normal medical protocol following his severe injury sustained last summer. The procedure had been scheduled a long time ago for the period after the tournament in North America. According to reports from “Bild”, the surgery took place last week at the Unfall-Klinik in Murnau, where a metal plate was removed from Musiala’s left foot.
Preparing for a Successful Comeback
In July 2025, Musiala had to undergo surgery on his left leg to address a fractured fibula and a severe ankle injury. This injury occurred during a clash with Paris goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma in the quarter-finals of the Club World Cup 2025.
With Germany’s poor performance in the current World Cup, Musiala can seamlessly enter Bayern’s pre-season preparations. “Due to the procedure, the attacking player can follow a clearly structured plan for the season preparation, ensuring he is ready for the start of Bayern’s competitive matches,” the club stated.
Upcoming Matches and Expectations
The record champions will kick off their competitive season with the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup against vice-champion Borussia Dortmund on August 22. The Bundesliga opener for the double winners will be on August 28, facing cup finalist VfB Stuttgart at home.
With the new season on the horizon, fans and teammates alike will be eager for Musiala’s return to full form. His skills and creativity on the field are vital for Bayern’s success, and the club will hope to utilize his talents to their fullest potential this coming season.
