Another car fire in Assen last night. In this case it is a parked car on Kloekhorststraat.
The fire was discovered in the early morning at 5 a.m. The fire brigade quickly had the fire under control, but the front of the car was considerably damage.
The cause of the fire is not yet known. The police are investigating whether there is arson.
In recent months, Assen has more often had to deal with car fires. Last week there were three more car fires in one night on the Zuidhaege and the nearby Zuidersingel. According to the police, it is not clear whether there is a connection between all fires, also because a clear cause is not always found. The police do investigate whether the fires are dealing with each other.
