According to a local resident, the cloud of smoke quickly became smaller due to rapid intervention from the fire brigade. A police helicopter also flew above the neighborhood until around 9 p.m.
Photos of a bystander show that the fire is raging in a house on a higher floor. The fire brigade is on site with, among other things, ladder cars.
Earlier today it broke a little further, in the Spaarndammerbuurtalso a fire. That fire eventually appeared to have originated in the garden of a home.
