The Swedish public prosecutor’s office on Monday requested the pre-trial detention of Osama Krayem for his possible involvement in the gruesome murder of a Jordanian pilot in Syria in 2014. The victim, Moaz al-Kasasbeh, was then burned alive in a cage. Osama Krayem was recognized after the incident in the video, which was filmed and distributed by the Islamic State (IS). The Swedish jihadist was previously convicted for his role in the Paris and Brussels attacks in 2015 and 2016.
