The Italian first division club FC Bologna has won the Coppa Italia again after 51 years. The team of coach Vincenzo Italiano prevailed on Wednesday in the Römer Stadio Olimpico 1-0 (0-0) against AC Milan.
For Bologna it is the third cup victory ever. The Swiss Dan Ndoye (53.) scored the goal of the evening for Bologna, which secured a ticket for the Europa League through victory. The Milanese, in which the German defender Malick Thiaw was not used, meanwhile missed their sixth Coppa success, most recently the club had secured the trophy in 2003.
Milan threatens to miss Europe
The AC threatens a season without a European Cup, in Serie A Milan is only eighth two game days before the end.
