African international Guinari tastes licorice and herring at Telstar

Telstar defender Peter Guinari was introduced to a number of Dutch delicacies last week. The international was served herring, licorice, stoop waffles and a peanut butter sandwich from NH Sport. You can see what he thought of it in the report below.

Peter Guinari is Telstar’s newest addition. Guinari is an international player for the Central African Republic and signed a contract for one and a half years. He was born in Banqui, the capital of the African country. At the age of eight he moved to Munich, Germany.

He ended up at Telstar through clubs such as the German Pipinsried and the Luxembourgish Wiltz 71. The North Hollanders were already working on the central defender this summer, but the paperwork was not completed. He now also has a German passport and the transition was completed this winter.

Romantic

Trainer Mike Snoei is particularly pleased with Guinari’s defensive qualities. “We are very romantic here and believe that defenders should also have a good play-in pass. Guinari is simply someone who can defend very well and is dangerous in standard situations,” said Snoei.

International

Guinari is therefore an international player from the Central African Republic. He has now played thirteen international matches. He played against major African countries such as Ghana and Nigeria. In those matches he competed against players such as Mohammed Kudus and Victor Osimhen.

Yet there is one international match that he will never forget. Which country is that? You will get an answer to that question in the report above.
