Adrien Fourmaux wins Ypres Rally

Fourmaux won with a lead of 17.6 seconds over the British Chris Ingram (VW Polo). Maxime Potty (Citroën C3) became the best Belgian in third place, 1:07.04 behind the winner. With Cédric Cherain (Hyundai i20) and Niels Reynvoet (Citroën C3), two more compatriots finished in the top five. Davy Vanneste from Wervik finished sixth in his Volkswagen Polo.

Crash

The rally was rocked on Friday evening by a particularly serious crash by the Frenchman Stéphane Lefèbvre (Citroën C3), who was still leader in the standings at the time. Lefèbvre, who was in the lead at the time, went off the track at the exit of a right-hand bend in the special stage of Messines, after which the car flipped over several times, only to come to a stop tens of meters further on in a field. Both Lefèbvre and his copilot Loris Pascaud emerged from the wreckage unharmed.

With that, the Ypres Rally can look back on another successful edition.
