After a search, divers from the fire brigade rescued a 21-year-old man from the water of the Zuiderplas in Den Bosch last night. The man, who is staying in an asylum seekers’ center in Schijndel, had gone swimming with another man at the Zuiderplas. The other man raised the alarm when he no longer saw his companion surfacing. After more than half an hour of searching, divers saw the man lying on the bottom of the Zuiderplas. He was taken out of the water, resuscitated and taken to Radboudumc in Nijmegen in a critical condition.
