Everywhere in Flanders, residual waste becomes more expensive from 2026. Throughout the zone of waste intermunicipal company IMOG, the waste collection will change thoroughly in 2026. For example, we will work with waste containers and a separate GF (T) collection. This should help to further reduce the amount of residual waste per inhabitant. Kortrijk fully supports this ambition, but has worked out its own adjusted waste scheme for Kortrijkzanen. Residents of Kortrijk keep the choice of a container or a (more expensive) bag, they do not have to pay an additional environmental impact and waste collection continues to take place every week.
