Aaron Rodgers reacts to Jets bug festival

Aaron Rodgers was badly injured in a practice game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers recently. The NFL quarterback of the New York Jets was surprisingly good to talk about his O-Line afterwards.

In a short span of time Wednesday, Rodgers conceded six sacks from the Bucs defensemen because his offensive line repeatedly failed. The new signing stressed after training that his concerns about the form of his protectors were “quite minor”.

“It’s August 16, so we still have some time,” Rodgers reminded the journalists in attendance, but acknowledged that his O-Liners screwed up “some really simple things” with passport security.

With his words, A-Rod placed himself protectively in front of his fellow players. At the same time, however, he increased the pressure on the players concerned. “I don’t worry about things that I’m not a big part of – not yet. That could change.”

The native Californian wants to work more closely with his linemen in the near future to fine-tune the game. However, the team has not yet reached this stage of preparation. “So I have some patience,” Rodgers said.

NFL: Jets hospital likely to clear up soon

The reason for Rodgers’ composure, however, is likely to be found in the numerous failures that the Jets had to complain about in units against the Bucs. Key players such as Laken Tomlinson (leg injury), Alijah Vera-Tucker (ankle) and Duane Brown (shoulder) had to sit out again during the week but could still join the team before the start of the season.

Jets head coach Robert Saleh, for example, announced that Brown is “much closer” to being activated recently. The same should apply to Tomlinson and Vera-Tucker, whose progress is recorded daily.
