a one year old girl died this Monday in California after being accidentally shot by his brotheronly two years older than her.
Around 7:30 am local time (1300 GMT), the local police received a call to report shots at a house in Fallbrook, a suburb north of San Diego, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office, south of California in a statement. When the police officers arrived at the scene, they found that the shots had been fired by a three-year-old boy managed to gain access to a gun that did not have a safety and “accidentally” shot younger sister in the head.

Police have not released the name of the deceased minor “out of respect for the family and because he is a minor,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement. In turn, the authorities reported that they have opened an investigation to clarify “with more details” the cause of death.
California is one of the states with the greatest restrictions on carrying weapons, allowed for those over 21 years of age.
