– A really big life change is coming for our whole family, Pehkonen announces.
The family plans to move “at least temporarily” to the north, more specifically to Ruka, Kuusamo.
– I’m absolutely thrilled, I’ve been waiting and hoping for a really long time to see what life is like there and try it out. Now we’re going to do it, he says excitedly in an Instagram video.

– This is such a wonderful thing. Great that you are doing this! writes social media influencer Sara Vanninen.
– A wonderful decision, writes presenter Tommi Manninen.
Pehkonen also writes a change Together in his published column.
– I admit that I have always wondered about people who move back to their home regions. What could a small town have to offer that the capital city doesn’t give us? A lot, I think now, Pehkonen writes.

– That’s why I decided to jump out of the bubble and the center of Helsinki. I’m packing my family and the wool floors and at the turn of the year we’ll move to Ruka for a while. That’s where I’ve been longing for a long time, the lap of nature and the peace of the fell, he continues.
In his column, Pehkonen states, among other things, that he has not started to hate Helsinki, but that there are many things in the city that he also loves.
– I just don’t love myself in this environment. I pace myself with the noise, the rush, I fill my calendar too tightly and rush around. I am grumpy and unhappy. I can’t take care of myself. I don’t like myself here, Pehkonen continues.
