A new thrift store will be built in the Stadshart

Do you know the thrift store ‘2e Hands Nieuwe Kans’ on Philipsstraat? This store will close soon and the owners will open a new location in the Stadshart next weekend. You will find this second-hand shop in the former building of Shabu Shabu restaurant.

The doors of the new thrift store ‘Nieuw & 2e Kans’ on Germanylaan will open on Saturday, January 27.

Furniture and accessories

In this second-hand store you mainly buy furniture and home accessories. The owner assembles new furniture herself and offers it for a nice price. Second-hand furniture from evictions is also for sale. It is no longer possible to bring used items into this new store.

Making way for new construction

The new thrift store will remain in the City Center for at least the next two years. A residential tower will be built at this location in the future, so the store will have to go to make way for new construction. Thrift store ‘2e Hands Nieuwe Kans’ on Philipsstraat closes on March 1.

‘New & 2nd Chance’ opens Saturday, January 27 at 10 a.m. You can go there by bike or on foot or take tram 3 or 4 and get off at the Stadhuis stop. You can park in the parking garages P4 (Luxemburglaan) or at the Duitslandlaan (P9). The new parking garage under the Passage will open before the end of the year. The entrance will be next to the thrift store.
