Can you imagine walking quietly through the streets of Benicàssim this Monday at noon and coming face to face with a heifer? Well, this could have happened perfectly to the residents of the town, because one of the animals that participated in the first confinement of the Fiestas de Santo Tomás has escaped from the cadafal by passing between the bars.
The running of the bulls began around 1:30 p.m. and heifers from the D. Jaime Tárrega “Lucas” in the bullfighting arena of Benicàssim. The small size of one of the animals that participated in the bullfighting event has meant that he can escape to freely wander the streets of the townwhich kicked off the patron saint festivities this weekend that will last until next Sunday, September 25.
Luckily, ten minutes after his escape, the bullfighting collaborators have been able to recover the heifer, which was already at the Bonterra campsite in the municipality, located on Barcelona Avenue. There are no incidents to regret beyond the significant scare that the participants of the running of the bulls as well as the neighbors and tourists who have been able to find this animal of their free will have had.
