This morning, due to flooding, the fire brigade went to an ice cream parlor on the Hoofdstraat in Meppel. A hose from an ice cream display had come loose, after which the cellar was flooded.
The basement contained ice machines, freezers, refrigerators and other company supplies. Firefighters pumped out the basement. The salon is closed today and tomorrow.
