Turkish Football Federation (TFF), the 2025-2026 season, which will be valid as of the 12+2 foreign rules made amendments. It was announced that the condition that at least 2 players were born in 01.01.2003 and later was updated as at least 2002.
The statement made by TFF is as follows:
No age criterion is not required for 12 of 14 foreign players who can be written on the A team list. If 14 foreign football players are written in the A team list, at least 2 of these players must be born on 01.01.2002 or later in the 2025 – 2026 season. The fact that some or all of the rights of 14 foreign players who can be written on the A team list does not use the number of players who have the suitability to play in Türkiye A National Football Team. 2025-2026 season, which made a contract in this scope and written in the A-team list with foreign national players born in 2002 in case of more than 1 season contract in case of signed a contract for 2 seasons can be written to the A list of this rule. In the 2026 – 2027 season, at least 4 of 14 foreign players must be born on 01.01.2003 or later. (2) Super League clubs with more than 14 foreign footballers and a contract, Foreign players who are not written in the A team list cannot play in A team competitions.
