Margarit (39) cannot speak or move, but spells letter by letter in a children’s book: ‘Life has meaning’

One sentence sometimes takes twenty minutes. Vowel or consonant, is the first question. And then each letter is spelled out. A short, firm nod means yes. This is how Margarit Groothedde (39) from Apeldoorn has been communicating since a car accident paralyzed her. Yet the former Dutch teacher wrote a children’s book.
