A 73-year-old woman with reduced mobility has been killed in the fire that broke out this Friday in a house in Calonge (Girona).
As reported by the Fire Department of the Generalitat, who have moved four crews to the scene of the event, the fire has broken out in a house on the ground floor and first floor located on Països Catalans de Calonge avenue.
When the firefighters arrived at the scene, smoke was coming out of one of the windows of the house and inside, in one of the rooms, the woman was found without vital signs.

The fire, whose notice was received at 6:18 p.m., has burned a mattress and a bedside table in the room where the victim was.
Firefighters have taken charge of the legal proceedings and the investigation of the causes of the fire. Three units of the Emergency Medical System (SEM) and members of the Local Police have also attended the scene.
