“It has changed a lot”
Weeks after scandal: next ski jumper disqualified

The suit fraud is still in the heads of the ski jumpers. Now a Norwegian has also been disqualified in Planica.
After the suit scandal at the World Cup in Trondheim, Norway excited again. At the World Cup final in Slovenian Planica, Isak Andreas Langmo was disqualified on Thursday-again because of a non-compliance with the non-regulation.
In addition to the 20-year-old Norwegian, the American Tate Frantz and Slovenia’s young jumpers Žiga Jančar were also taken out of the rating. Frantz ‘disqualification in particular came as a surprise because he had regularly started in the World Cup in the past few weeks.
Since jumping in Oslo two weeks ago, athletes can only use one suit per competition. A replacement suit is only allowed if the first is damaged. The new regulation has a noticeable effect on the balance of power in the World Cup. Eurosport expert Werner Schuster said: “A lot has changed since you can only jump a suit, since the World Cup.”
The background to the tightened controls is the suspension of five Norwegian jumpers after the manipulations at the World Cup. The world champion Marius Lindvik and Johann André Forfang denied that they knew about the events. For the re-moved athletes, it was not enough in Planica to take part in the final on Friday (from 3:00 p.m. in the T-Online Live ticker).
From a sporting point of view, the German team dominated the qualification. Andreas Wellinger landed one in front of Pius Paschke and Markus Eisenbichler. For Eisenbichler it is the last appearance at a ski flight weekend in his career.
