The Otto online shop has increased the number of customers: inside.

The shop from Hamburg announced 12.2 million active customers in the past financial year: inside, as can be seen from a message. Compared to the previous year, this corresponds to an increase of more than four percent.

Otto operates a so -called platform. This means that other dealers: inside and brands can sell goods via the website if they pay a fee. You can also advertise your goods. Otto currently has 6,200 partners on the marketplace, as it says in the message. The business leader Amazon works in a similar way.

In the 2024/25 financial year, which ended on February 28, Otto was able to increase sales by around five percent to around 4.4 billion euros in the year. The higher number of customers: inside and increased advertising revenues have contributed to the development. In the 2023/24 financial year, there was still a decline of eight percent in sales. As a result, the largest German online shop does not comment.

Online shop belongs to the Otto group

The online shop is part of the Otto trade and service group of the same name. In the past, business with the platforms has been the most important sales bringer of the group. The online fashion retailer About You, which is to be taken over by the competitor Zalando by summer, also includes the area.
