Neu-Isenburg (dpa-AfX)-The commercial vehicle supplier JOST Werke expects upwind again after the burglary of 2024. Thanks to the takeover of the hydraulic bidder Hyva, sales are expected to increase by 50 to 60 percent in the current year, as the company announced on Wednesday in Neu-Isenburg in Hesse. The profit adjusted by special items before interest and tax is expected to increase by 25 to 30 percent. And the shareholders win a stable dividend for 2024.
The JOST share in the morning increased by around one and a half percent to 52.40 euros and was thus among the strongest titles in the SDAX secondary index. Since the turn of the year, the paper has won more than 15 percent and is traded more expensive than three years ago.
For the current year, Jost boss Joachim Dürr was “very optimistic”. In this way, demand in transport and agriculture as well as in the construction industry should stabilize or grow moderately. In addition, Jost was a big step with the takeover of the Dutch hydraulic specialist Hyva.
The Hessian company had put around $ 400 million on the table for the purchase (around 370 million euros). Hyva is the world market leader in the shop with front -tilt cylinders. The company has been entering Jost’s business figures since the beginning of February.
In the meantime, Jost had to struggle for trucks, supporters and tractors in 2024. The turnover therefore decreased by more than 14 percent to almost 1.1 billion euros. The profit adjusted by special items before interest and taxes even collapsed around a fifth to 113 million euros.
In contrast, favorable business assurance businesses led to a special profit, as the company continued to be known: thanks to a sunken tax burden, the annual surplus increased by 0.6 percent to just under 53 million euros.
