The semi-finals of the women’s DFB Cup has found a winner: Werder Bremen prevailed against HSV in the northern derby-and now meets the most powerful opponent.
Before the record backdrop of 57,000 spectators in the sold-out Volksparkstadion, the footballers of Werder Bremen celebrated the finals of the DFB Cup. The green-white Bundesliga club won 3: 1 (1: 1, 0: 0) after extra time in the gripping Nord derby. In the final, the Hanseates meet the reigning German champions, FC Bayern Munich.
