From the Christopher Street Day, the 2025 version could become “pride thanks to Rosenstolz” parade. At least the CSD organizer Sascha Lauterbach is committed to this, in which he launched a petition in this regard via “Change.org”.
A summary of the “Musical Heritage of Rosenstolz”
Already have more than 5,100 people The petition previously signed (as of March 20, 9 a.m.). Legal effects are not guaranteed, but a buzz can be achieved in any case – in the best case, the plan of renaming in honor of the “musical heritage of Rosenstolz”, as it is said on “change.org”, is taken up by prominent people who are also strong for this. If this is the case, Christopher Street Day could with the motto “pride thanks to Rosenstolz – in a loving memory of Anna R.” take to the street.
The LGBTQ+demo takes place in Berlin this year on July 26th. It will already be the 47th edition of the CSD, which starts all over the world in different cities.
Why is a rose ceremony for the CSD?
In the petition, it can be read to explain the motto that rose studs are “of great importance, especially for the queer community”. Lauterbach explains: “They gave and give us the feeling of being loved, even if we did not yet know who we loved. Rosenstolz made us proud at a time when tolerance and diversity was not the norm everywhere.”
And further: This is “a suitable gesture to reward in a significant way of how much rose pride has done for the queer community and how much Anna R. will be missing”.
More about Anna R.
On Monday, March 17th, Anna R. announced on the Instagram channel that the singer and songwriter died surprisingly. The Berliner was 55 years old.
Peter Plate, with whom she founded the Rockpop duo Rosenstolz in 1991, already let his grief run free on his account on Instagram. There were commented tens of fans underneath and also showed their feelings. But the digital space didn’t seem enough to pay tribute to Anna R. – a memorial in Berlin Charlottenburg was built for them. At the theater of the West, the Rosenstolz fan club gave a picture of the musician, including flowers, letters, candles.
