This season, VfL Bochum took a medium single -digit million sum with player sales this season. Then they couldn’t have afforded their master team,” said Kaenzig. “Last summer even Heidenheim took a low double-digit million sum by transfers alone, clubs like Mainz and Augsburg much more. The other financial foundation, on the other hand, sees Kaenzig as good: “If we calculate the transfer income, we are already economically stronger than Mainz and Augsburg.
